I purchased this for our 5 year old Kindergarten son. He REALLY wanted it and as a reward for academic achievement we purchased this last night. He put half of it together last night by himself and completed the rest this morning waking before 6 a.m. to do so. He absolutely loves this police vehicle. I love that he can follow directions to build it, strengthen fine motor skills with small parts and use imaginative play. It is now about noon and he has not stopped playing with this toy. I highly recommned this one! Thanks lego!!

I think this is one of the best lego sets iv’e ever gotten!!! The police men and rober are well detailed. both with hats have white hats a bage a giant pocket whith a tie 6 buttons a black suite and black sleevs. one has a clear viser a printed walkei talkei 3 zippers a bage a white belt and grey gloves. The rober has a black hat a shirt with grey stripes and white stripes 5 buttons a number that says 50380 grey pants and white sleevs with a gold tooth. this set come with a cup a flash light 3 hand cuffs 2 walike talkies a thing that tells your speed 2 cones and a stand. theres a little geep.a tower with a camra a antania a dish thing 6 stairs a stick thing that moves up and down a raidar thing and messge thing. and theres the truck it has a storage for your gear empty space to put the rober in and a place where you make him confess.

This set is a great, fun-packed value, at a good price. The main model is a beautiful helicopter, with instructions included to build two alternate models, a speed boat or a cool biplane. All three models are superb. Instructions for a fourth model, a swamp fan boat, are available on line at [...]. Plus, you can create your own original models, just as with any LEGO set. This set is value added because multiple models can be made with the same pieces, as well as excellent play value with each of the finished models. This set could have been made even better by two things: As in the old LEGO Designer Sets, additional “ideas” could have been added, pictures of even more alternate models, but without building instructions; and some wheels. Both the helicopter and the biplane have no wheels and no actual landing gear at all. Mounting wheels on the bottom of the speed boat would have made the boat a much better play value model, also. Add some wheels from your own LEGO collection, and enhance these terrific models even more. But be clear, this is a really good set!

We are a Lego family. My kids like to play with Lego and I keep buying it. This set is so far the best value. Usually my concern about buying a pre-designed set is that the kids don’t want to take them apart after they are done. However, I felt that the whole point of construction toys is to have them imagine and build different things. Well, this set is different. This item has 3 designs and they all look very attractive. My 6-year-old son who loves planes built the plane model first. I though he would keep it for months like he usually does with his other pieces. He is very attached to the Lego toys he built. He also liked the plane very much, but before the end of the day, he took it apart and built the boat! The next day he built the helicopter. It’s amazing and all of them look really cool. The skill needed is just right for a 6-year-old, not too difficult nor easy. Some little pieces are very hard to take apart and I only had to help with that.

My 6 year old grandson is a “Lego nut.” He had asked for this and he is perfectly delighted with it. Gave only 4 stars in durability because the pieces can be broken if stepped on and they tend to be scattered all over the floor wherever he’s playing with them. However Legos are pretty durable overall. |

I grew up on K’Nex. I’m a 23 year old male. I have two little sisters. One’s a snob-nosed, arrogant high school senior (I still love her), the other’s a sweet, 8-year-old. Nevertheless, the latter plays too many video games, in my opinion. I wasn’t too much of a LEGO fan growing up, but I thought I’d give ‘em a try. Her birthday came and went, and she’s still playing with this set. She hasn’t really mentioned video games since getting this set, and even though the structures don’t take too much time to build, she spent hours after her initial construction taking them down, and rebuilding several other, imaginative devices of her own. Maybe she wouldn’t mind getting some more sets in future Christmases and birthdays, expanding her range of creativity and building. But I sure am glad she likes ‘em!

This was a gift for my daughter’s fourth birthday. The box of LEGOs comes with loads of basic building blocks plus a horse, person, wheels, and several other components to build cars, houses, flowers, etc. There is also an instruction booklet to help your child get building. Even my daughter can look at the pictures and figure out what pieces she needs although she may not always get them put together correctly. There is one flat, building platform included but I think LEGO should have included a couple more of the building platforms. I really like that the lid snaps closed as there are a lot of small pieces that can easily spill everywhere if the box is knocked over. This is a great gift to get your child’s imagination going and to foster creativity. At first, she didn’t really know where to start as there are so many pieces but we sat down and started building and now she can build tons of things on her own. She will pull the box out on her own (without any suggestion on my part) and get to work. She delights in showing me what she has made. Overall, I think this is a basic, great gift that will help your child develop her spatial concepts and a further understanding of how the concepts of symmetry and gravity work (e.g., a table needs 4 legs to stay standing, a house needs 4 walls to build a roof across the top, etc.). If anything, it will augment your child’s fine motor skill coordination. Overall, this is a winner toy.

Our family is big on Lego, and board games, so obviously we were intrigued by all the new Lego games. While at the Lego store, they told me that the staff favorite was Minotaurus, and that it was somewhat like Sorry. We love Sorry, so I thought we’d like this one too! The goal is to get your heroes to the center of the board first. But there are hedges and walls making a maze that you have to wade through. You roll the die and go that amount of spaces. If the die lands on black, then you can move the Minotaur 8 spaces, hopefully taking out one of your opponents and sending him back to start. If the die lands on grey, then you move a grey wall brick – you can block your opponents’ path, or keep the Minotaur from reaching you, etc. The basic game has you win when you have one hero reach the center, but it’s actually way more fun when you require all three heros to be there. Then you have time to really mess up people’s pathways and get the Minotaur action going. We also like to play the variation with the addition of a green die option, which enables your hero to jump over a hedge. The die has got rubber edges, which means it bounces all over when you roll it. It is both funny and annoying at the same time. Be prepared for it to get bounced off the table over and over again. The kids think it is hilarious. The major downside is that the pieces are regular-sized lego pieces, so they can be hard to manipulate in the tight spaces of the maze. My youngest is 5.5, and he is just barely able to deal with the smallness of it. (But the recommended age on the box is 7+, so he is below that, but he just loves the game.) It would be nice to see a duplo version – I don’t know if that would be too big or not. Anyway, my kids have been wanting to play this every night since we got it. You have to have kids that are okay with getting knocked back to start and a little trash talk. If your kids are traumatized by Sorry, then they won’t like this. But if your kids are more cutthroat, then they’ll love it. Every time the Minotaur gets unleashed in our games, everyone starts chanting “Min-o-taur! Min-o-taur!” while the hapless hero screams, “Nooooo!!!!” We’ve been having a blast with it.

My five year old and 8 year old ask to play this constantly. Easy to learn but there are a wide variety of strategies to consider. This can be played as a very fast game or a long-drawn out game if you like by modifying the goals and rules. I really recommend this game.

i like the minataur and i like how you can play it in different versions. i like how it’s a maze and you can block your opponent from getting to the temple and you can move the minotaur. it’s a long game. k, age 6 |
